As the key technology of the next-generation information and communication, 5G plays an increasingly important role in realizing key connections such as the Internet of Everything and information guarantee, and empowers thousands of industries in close integration with new technologies such as artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, Internet of Things and data center, driving a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, and becoming the cornerstone of the development of digital economy.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals proposes to build infrastructure with risk resistance, promoting inclusive and sustainable industries and innovation. Our government has incorporated 5G into its national strategy as one of the priorities of implementing the national innovation strategy. The Proposal of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Term Goal for 2035 clearly points out that it is necessary to cultivate and expand emerging digital industries such as artificial intelligence, Big Data, blockchain, cloud computing and network security, and build application scenarios and industrial ecosystem based on 5G. In March 2020, the meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee emphasized that the construction of new infrastructures such as 5G network and data centers would be accelerated. At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also issued the Notice of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Accelerating the Development of 5G, proposing relevant measures such as accelerating the deployment of 5G network and enriching the application scenarios of 5G technology. The 2021 Central Economic Work Conference also clearly pointed out that it is necessary to vigorously develop the digital economy, increase investment in new infrastructure, expand the application of 5G, and accelerate the construction of industrial Internet and data centers.
According to the forecast of consulting companies, by 2035, 5G will increase the global output value by 13.2 trillion US dollars and GDP by 7%, which will bring GDP growth of 360 billion US dollars to the whole world and about 1.1 trillion US dollars to China. It is estimated that by 2025, China will become the world's largest 5G market and will create trillions of output value. 5G is providing a steady stream of innovation and new kinetic energy for the deepening transformation of economy and society to digitalization, networking and intellectualization. Technically speaking, 5G is the foundation of digital economic infrastructure and applications such as artificial intelligence and industrial Internet. Economically speaking, 5G can directly drive the growth of large-scale information consumption, and has a great impact on industrial structure and economic form.
Facing new development opportunities, CIE will hold the "2nd China 5G Application Innovation Conference" in Beijing on August 26, 2021 to promote the exchange of 5G related technologies and accelerate the penetration of 5G technologies into industries. This conference will bring together authoritative institutions and guests such as national ministries and commissions, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, mainstream enterprises, etc. to discuss and promote 5G application innovation, promote the integration of 5G and industry, and promote the benchmark of 5G application scheme. At the same time, the conference will also hold an exhibition on China's 5G application innovation, and launch the online digital platform of "5G Future City" and the case collection of 5G application innovation, presenting more great achievements.

With the rapid development of industry and the drive of policies, the IT infrastructure market is facing unprecedented development opportunities. Although the spring of 2020 is a bit unusual, it can't stop the whole development process of digital economy. On the contrary, turning "crisis" into "opportunity" has become the general thought of the whole industry.
